Grade S31260 (UNS S31260) is a premium super austenitic stainless steel, commonly known as Alloy 926 or ASTM A1082/A1082M F44, featuring 20% chromium, 25% nickel, and 6% molybdenum with nitrogen additions to deliver exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive acidic and chloride-rich environments. With a PREN value of ~43, S31260 outperforms standard austenitic grades like 316L and is widely utilized in offshore oil and gas production, chemical processing equipment, flue gas desulfurization systems, pulp and paper bleaching plants, and seawater cooling systems. This super austenitic grade maintains excellent mechanical properties and fabricability, offering a cost-effective alternative to nickel-based alloys in applications requiring high localized corrosion resistance and superior structural integrity.

Alloy 926 (S31260) is a stainless steel grade covered under ASTM A1082/A1082M for high-strength bolting in special-purpose applications such as pressure vessels. UNS designation S31260. Mechanical property requirements for S31260 are defined in ASTM A1082 Table 2 (PH grade solution treatment) or Table 4 (duplex annealed condition). Properties vary by treatment condition - refer to the bolting specification for the H-condition (PH) or annealed yield/tensile/elongation/hardness requirements applicable to your order.
